2. Who We Are

We are a Sweden-based company specializing in battery energy storage systems (BESS) and related value-added services. Our digital services – such as the web-based portal PowerInsight (part of EmPower) – enable customers to monitor BESS performance, generate monthly reports, and (optionally) facilitate reporting to the Swedish Energy Agency’s “Cesar” system for guarantees of origin. Our corporate website (powerworks.energy) contains information about our services and forms to contact us. According to EU data protection legislation, we are the data controller for the personal data we process about you.

3. Scope and Audience

Service for Business Customers (B2B)
Our Services are exclusively targeted at business customers. PowerInsight is available to registered customers of Powerworks Energy Sweden AB who have purchased a BESS or have a service agreement that includes access.

Geographical Availability
Our Services are available globally, unless otherwise specified by law or regulatory decision.

4. How We Collect Your Data

We collect information about you in several ways:

Direct Interactions

  • When you or your company fill out registration forms, contact forms, or otherwise provide information (e.g., name, email, phone number, company) to create an account or contact us.

  • (Optional) Site-ID (MeteringPointId): For customers who choose to activate guarantees of origin reporting.
  • We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data such as personal identification numbers or health data. Therefore, do not provide such information in our forms or other communications.

Non-Personal Data

  • Device and Preference Data: Browser type, operating system, screen resolution, dark mode, etc.
  • Anonymous Statistics: General user patterns, performance metrics, or anonymized data for analysis.
  • Technical Log Data: IP addresses, timestamps, page requests, error reports, etc.

Guarantees of Origin Reporting (Optional)

  • If you activate this function, the Site-ID and relevant BESS data will be used for reporting to the Swedish Energy Agency (Cesar). This requires you to appoint us as your representative.

Business and Contractual Obligations

  • Enable secure payment or billing (if applicable).
  • Fulfill legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.

Web Analysis and Improvement

  • Understand general user patterns to improve features, interface, and security.
  • Track traffic, test, and optimize performance (e.g., via Google Analytics).
  • Manage inquiries submitted via contact forms.

7. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

We process your personal data based on:
